Hosting and server logs

This website is hosted and delivered by Cloudflare, Inc. When you visit, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, the page requested, the time of the request, and your browser details. This is needed to deliver the website and protect it against attacks, which is a legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Cloudflare acts as my processor under its Data Processing Addendum. It may process this data outside the EU, including in the United States. Those transfers rely on Cloudflare's certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, with the EU standard contractual clauses as a fallback.

Email enquiries

If you email me, I process your address, your message, and anything else you include, in order to reply. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for enquiries about working together, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Email is handled through Microsoft 365.

If an enquiry does not lead to work, I delete it within 12 months of our last contact, or sooner if you ask. If it leads to an offer or contract, I keep the relevant correspondence for as long as German tax and commercial law requires, usually six years.

Stored in your browser

If you use the theme button, your choice of light or dark mode is saved in your browser's local storage under the name systems-theme. It is never sent to this website, and you can clear it in your browser settings at any time. Storing it is necessary to provide the setting you asked for (§ 25(2) TDDDG).

Browser tools

The calculators and inspectors on the tools pages run in your browser. What you enter is not sent to this website.

External links

Links to services such as GitHub, LinkedIn, Gmail, and Outlook take you to those providers, whose own privacy policies apply. Nothing from them is loaded until you follow a link.

Your rights

You have the right to access your personal data and to have it corrected or erased. You can also ask for its processing to be restricted, object to processing, and ask for data portability (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR). To exercise these rights, email hello@ikongha.com.

You can also complain to a data protection authority. In Hessen this is Der Hessische Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit.
